Hello Jennifer, use it in hot water or milk to make hot chocolate. I must admit that I have eaten a few of them plain as well - they were delicious!

Hi Paisley, they were room temperature. If you took them out of the fridge, I imagine it would only take ten minutes or so for them to be room temperature.

Margaret, how did you learn that the stems were sweet? I wish I had known; haha! I have a good friend who makes soup with the stems because she says they taste the sweetest.
