I am confused and I am desperate for little bit of help - Some guy wanted to charge me £50 for offering advise.
My iPhone 3G is running 3.0.1 software and I am wanting to upgrade to the 3.1.2 with the modem firmware of 04.26.08
How do I Jailbreak and unlock the phone?
I am disabled and would be grateful for some easy to follow instructions.
Any help is greatfully appreciated.

What about Itunes - I am running 8.0.2 - the next upgrade of Itunes is 8.2.1 - is this version of Itunes safe to use to JB my phone or will I have to find the version inbetween the 2?

I have been watching this thread for some time and I have about to take the plunge and update.
One thing I have just noticed is that there is a new version of software availiable for the Iphone (3.0.1)and on Itunes.
Can you advise if this is still to go ahead or will I be left with a brick?
