Living in Denmark, I've seen Antchrist. Watching a censored version of this movie is like watching a Transformers movie where all the action scenes have been taken out. Now. I didn't like the film. It's interesting, but just not my type of movie. Would be interesting though to see what the filmcast people though of it?

/Film : Discuss: Is Matt Damon the New Harrison Ford? Shia LaBeouf... The New Bruce Willis?

This is such a useless discussion. Why do people have the need to say "this guy is the next that guy". So we're remaking actors now as well? I think Adrien Brody said it best when he was asked what he thought about people calling him the next Al Pacino. "I'd rather be considered the first Adrien Brody". You can't compare two actors like that. So making some of the same career choices makes you the next Bruce Willis? What? It makes no sense. And there's really no point.

I mean, even from a business stand this is a dumb move. If they have Joss Whedon do this, they will have a huge build in audience. Instead by letting somebody else do it, they'll have an angry mob. Now if the movie looks good, I'm gonna see it. And it might be good, who knows. But it just seems like a dumb idea to piss off a lot of the people that might go see a movie like this.

/Film : Lost Season 5 Finale - What Did You Think?

That's true. But Jack still isn't the kind of person kills other people just because he's been hurt by a girl. Or if he wants to get together with a girl. Jack have never been that guy. And Ben admitting that he was faking talking to Jacob was 100% definitely not planned when the scene actually took place. That's something they came up with later. That line was in there to cover that up. I think the stand-off between Jacob and Ben was awesome.

So this was a pretty decent finally in my opinion. Right when they first talked about "what's in the box?" it was pretty clear in my opinion that it was Locke. Especially when we got introduced to the anti-Jacob or whoever that was in the beginning of the episode. Now this season finale really is all of the best and worst of lost wrapped into one. Cool action. Great character moments. Mysteries en masse. But. The character motivation is all over the place. "We need to go back!" "We need to go away!" "I believe!" Destiny!" "There's no point in anything we do". And all that stuff just got worse in this episode. It took like ten seconds for them to go from "We need to stop Jack" to "We must help Jack and die." Juliettes motivation was alright, but still. People change their entire beliefsystem all the time on this show. But then you see Jacob (and by god, that's good casting. If there's one thing they know how to do on this show, it's to cast people). And the scene where Juilette falls down the hole was just amazing. First time I welled up in this show. AWESOME! Of course they ruin that by having her being alive in the hole and your'e like "How the hell did she survive that?". Especially cause there's no reason for her to be alive. The bomb could just as well have been hit by something and then explode. And the same thing goes for the whole "We need to stop Jack", "We need to help Jack." Why not have them go back to help Jack from the beginning? The one missed oppourtunity in this show really seems to be the fight between Jack and Sawyer. Because all of the sudden Jack's motivation for doing all of this was to get together with Kate? I was actually glad Sawyer beat him up. It felt so fake. The whole love deal. Jack isn't a character that's willing to kill a bunch of people to further his own agenda. He's never been like that. And even though it might bring back the people from the plane, it's still killing a lot of people blowing that thing up. And that goes against Jack's character in my opinion. Still. It was a much better finally than the season 4 one, and I'm definitely looking forward to Season 6. If they can keep the very high standard from this season, dammit, it's going to be great. Also: Ben pretenting talking to Jacob was a very, very lame way of the writers to write themselves out of that scene. Obviously that wasn't planned from the beginning. Oh well. I guess Ben in this season went from criminal mastermind villain to pathetic childish villain.

Bomb goes off. Killing everybody. Seemingly destroying the island. However: Juliette, Sawyer and Kate are off the island, and alive. Season 6 starts with either an old Sawyer, old Kate or old Juliette seeking out the present (before he ever went to the island) Jack or Hurley. That's my guess at least.

/Film : What Did You Think of Star Trek?

I think people are underselling Nero a bit. He didn't have a lot of screentime, and he didn't seem THAT developed. But the character did what he was supposed to do, namely portraying a contrast to Spock. Kirk & Spock seems like opposites, but really they're balancing eachother out. But Nero is really the true contrast to Spock. They both experience the same loss of their planet, but while Nero is pure rage. He's always yelling, always running, always angry. Spock is cool, collected, logical. This change however, when Spock by the end of the movie show a little more spark. He gets a little angry. While Nero, when facing defeat, suddenly becomes cool, accepting his fate. I enjoyed the contrast between Nero and Spock way more than the rivalry, and it wasn't really anything but that, between Spock and Kirk. Not to say their relationship was bad, it was very well developed and well acted.

It's a actionpacked funride. It's very enjoyable, and the pacing is excellent. There's like one or two script problems, but it definitely made Star Trek very exciting for somebody who haven't seen the show. I definitely got a unique wibe from it, different from other Sci-Fi franchices. It didn't look or feel like Star Wars, it didn't look and feel like Galactica or any other thing. It was it's own. Which is great. The cast was good, and especially the guy who played Spock did a very good job. I'm looking forward to the next one. And by the way. In my opinion this doesn't mess up old Star Trek canon. They almost said it straight to the camera that this is an alternate reality apart from the other movies/shows. Anyway, fun ride, looking forward to the next trip in a few years. I hope they keep the cast, but it would be cool to give some other writers and a new director a stab at the series. Feel like that could be fun. And lastly, I'm rooting for ye olde "we discovered a new planet with a new civilization" storyline.

I have NO feith in this project what so ever. Ryan Reynolds is a very good actor for Deadpool. But Hugh Jackman is also an amazing Wolverine. That didn't stop Wolverine not being a very good movie. I don't know if it's FOX. I think it might be a bit too easy to just blame Fox, but there is kind of a pattern showing here.

/Film : X-Men Origins: Wolverine What Did You Think?

I'm just going to copy my thoughts from a post I made on a different forum. So here it goes: This movie is 25% dumb, 25% kliches, and 120% Hugh Jackman's upper body. The last part is about the only impressive thing in this movie. Stryke that. The other impressive thing is how they managed to fuck up this movie so bad. Now I wasn't expecting much. I like dumb action movies. I saw the trailer. I didn't expect this to be very good. And boy was I in for a surprise. This movie is dumb. It's just dumb. Everything that isn't dumb is a kliche. There are no surprises. There are no good ideas. There's maybe one clever line in the whole movie. There's tons of scenes and actions by the character's that do not make sense. Wolverine isn't wolverine. He's some other character named the same. Althrough the movie I remained indifferent. The action didn't matter. Story didn't matter. Nothing mattered. This movie had no feelings, no soul, no fun, no good action. Nothing. All it had was kliches, indifference, and Hugh Jackman's upper body. I got a headache from rolling my eyes. Like with Spider-Man 3, it is beyond me how this movie got made. How anybody could've looked at that script and thought it was a good idea to turn those words into pictures. To have people say those lines. To have actors (some of them very decent actors) degraded into this. If there are any movie collectors out there who sort their dvds and blu rays in a "quality" based order, this one goes just above Elektra and Catwoman. Weather you want it under or above Spider-Man 3, I'll let you decide.
