We suddenly decided to let him play all the games he wanted, no questions asked or time limits with one condition, It would cost $1 an hour to rent the computer. After 2 weeks of continuous play he ran out of money and had to go out and get a real job to pay for more time on the computer.

Once he had a job, he had no time for the computer. We effectively killed two birds with on stone, got him off the computer and out working at a paying job.
