I come from a large family and have lost a couple cousins. They were killed in tragic accidents. One cousin made a poor decision and it cost him his life at 18 years old. I spend a lot of time in the barn and out running around. We had four children in our family and most of the time my parents didn't know where we were. It is by the grace of God that nothing happened to us. My point is that an eight year old child should not bear responsibility for this. Tragic things happen. You can't point fingers. It's done. There is no point in saying someone should have, could have etc. The best that can come out of this is that someone will think twice before they are distracted by something as stupid as running water.
