This is a charming, inventive post and I enjoyed it. While we are on the subject, there is another conversation about tech that we can have as well, especially in a venue with this sort of reach - let's have that one, too:
Tech is fun. I love tech. I've made my living in tech. That said, how many Pagan users are aware of the issues around e-cycling and e-waste? How many know that hazardous chemicals found in the phones, including antimony, arsenic, copper, cadmium, lead, and zinc, often end up in land fills and ground water? What about the tech that is disassembled by children and poor people in countries like China and India who are unaware of the risks to their health? How many Pagans are pressuring Apple now (as many earthwise Apple-loving folks have done before now) to update their policies further and make their products greener?
No one wants to kill the tech goose, but let's also make ourselves aware of what goes into our tech toys and what happens to the planet when we throw that toy away because we want the next great thing. For example, do Wild Hunt readers know about coltan and it's use in cell phones, and how the search for this mineral has greatly impacted endangered lowland gorillas in the Congo?
With so much of our world left to loose, let's talk about the double meaning now attached to the phrase "killer app".
