Well, Mr Dinesh D'Souza and other MSM "authorities" on Islam/RoP, will soon find a justification for these Muslim atrocities, which will put the blame squarely on what the Christians did or didn't do. Like Hugh has pointed out, the BBC et al are already trying to put the handful of Christians at par with mobs of murderous Muslims consumed by religious frenzy, by portraying the situation as a "riot", which gives the impression of a fight between two groups. This is typical of Dhimmi media around the world which finds the insane and brutal Jihadic violence completely beyond its comprehension and therefore it has to invent a story that has a semblance of logic. But a logic that can only be forced by implied moral equivalence between the perpetrator of violence and its victim or by far fetched justifications for the atrocities, however absurd these may be. .

Just to clarify, Genghis, though born into a Shamanistic way of life, had his early childhood under the tutelage of Nestorian (Syriac Christian) fathers. He would have probably finished Islam, if he had lived a little longer. I think his sons unfortunately decided that Islam was just the religion made-to-order for them to rule despotically, absolutely and without challenge over a large territory, with the sanction from Allah that came along with it.

The most likely play in Iraq will be: 1. Displacement of Maliki by the "Ayatollah" Muqtada Al-Sadr. 2. Sunni rebellion. Saudis backing the Sunnis for a separate homeland outside Shia control. 3. Kurd rebellion. No one backing their demand for a greater Kurdistan carved from territories in Iraq, Turkey and Iran. 4. Iran backing the Shias to resist any such move to bifurcate or trifurcate Iraq. 5. Blame on the US for this mess and outrage in Muslim world at the "hasty" and "irresponsible" American withdrawal. Things may not happen in that sequence, but knowing the congenitally violent proclivity of the RoP, let's just say that Iraq will not be a popular tourist destination for some years to come.

The reason Islam continues to flourish is that the cult members remember "history", at least a simple easy-to-get version: as a Muslim you "know", for instance, that the Christian West is engaged in a ruthless crusade against Islam for a thousand years. So the West and others, for example, the Indic people, who managed to get back their land from Islam with help of Christians have to be engaged in war till they capitulate and submit. Unfortunately, the West and in fact the global Kaffur population is innocently oblivious of this warped view which is commonplace in the Islamic world. And the Kaffur keeps developing strategies to respond to some provocation or the other, without a coherent global approach which is needed, if it has any hopes of countering a global cult of violence and terror. A global approach would make clear that the sophisticated weaponry that Pakistan is seeking ostensibly to fight the Taliban or Al-Qaeda will certainly be used against Indian forces. The training and weaponry being imparted to Iraqi and Afghan soldiers will one day be used against the West. Being an authoritarian cult, its followers respect force and power. They find it wonderful when the Infidel keeps his hands tied up on his own and blunders around without a clear and quick objective, periodically shooting in the air and falling on his feet every now and then seeking forgiveness of the cult members. No wonder the cultists believe that allah is great, for he must have completely addled the Kuffar's brains.

Good to hear someone state the truth as it is, without obfuscating like BO. The name Okonkwo sounds like a Nigerian, but does it really matter wtfh the truth is coming from. It's amazing that clever people like Persians and Pakistanis, whose ancestors were mostly subdued through brutal, unprecedented force and deception, have no problem kowtowing to the primitive cult of the Bedouin tribes of Arabia. It is tragic that they have no qualms in dishonoring and denying their own far superior past. Most of the much flaunted Islamic contributions to civilization have come from the Persians and Central Asians with generous help from Hindus and Buddhists, but it wasn't long before Islam's fundamental darkness asserted itself, as it has always successfully done elsewhere with a new people coming under its sway.

Surabi, like your Bhagwat Gita tells you, one must not run away from injustice - you have to .stand up and fight for what is right and ethical. No one said it's easy. I am an old time JW fan and I have found that a majority of folks posting here regularly are knowledgeable, intelligent, polite and above all, great human beings. At times there are posters, usually new, who digress into ad hominem or derogatory comments. They are of two types - the under-informed who do not know any better,of whom you will find there are very very few here and most of them are savvy enough to come up to speed fast, if they stay on. The other group, which is larger, is of the opportunistic Trolls, usually Islamist thugs in disguise, on a Mission to disrupt the constructive, informative discussions and even more importantly, destroy the strong unity among the non-Muslims displayed in fora such as this. These are the types who will rake up emotive and diversionary issues to muddle the thread.
