Its called a "preliminary hearing". Everyone has to have one who has been charged with a Felony. He could skip this, but it gives everyone a chance to see what all the evidence is .And if there is enough evidence to bind it over for a trial. Just a step in the legal process. Our courts made this law to be fair to everyone..Also they have to use the "terms" "prosecutors will have to present evidence to convince a judge there is probable cause that the murder was committed at all".. So that it sounds fair. Trust me.. This is not A Law and Order TV show.. It will be bound over.. It is ALWAYS bound over.. The accused might sound like he has rights, but really has none..
