In no way were there more than 150 which went down to a handful....finally the coverage stopped this weekend. I got into a discussion with the local radio station news director....he stated they had to mention this every half hour for days because it was a BIG event in our community....well NOT. I was and the numbers were ridiculously under reported There were many gatherings throughout the country that were ignored. Locally we had several hundred in Rome at Fort Stanwix on several occasions. Yes it has died down in visibility lately but that doesn't mean it isn't there The Tea Party has been dissed by the press at every opportunity...what have they done? Well put people they represent into positions of power. Can't get change overnight in a very corrupt system, many republicans are just worried about their political careers and represent only themselves, not the will of the people. They are to consider the property rights of others in the town when determining the issuance of a Special Use Permit. Doesn't seem they did this in this instance. By law they have to hold a public hearing if the special use isn't distinctly listed as an allowable use in a certain zoning district. Other neighbors are allowed to express opinion at this hearing. People who move into developments expect zoning laws to be enforced. There are noise ordinances to be considered. People have the right to peace and quiet in their neighborhood. I went through He__ in our current healthcare system, just as Mr Nolte's wife did, had two conditions that should have been readily recognized but because they are considered "rare" no one cared to look for them and it was easier to call me non compliant, ignore abnormal lab results and swollen joints, etc...there are some good practitioners out there but they are few and far between. Doctors need to stand together to take control of their practice, as a nurse I can not make them do that.
