The Malaysian Insider : Ex-minister recommends Dr M as mentor to solve Najib’s problems - The Malaysian Insider

Marina has not proven anything as a leader to be like Nurul or Ambiga. Whatever she said, write or do, she will never get into trouble from the authorities. Is there anyone who dare to shake his butt in front of her house? Do the police even dare to look her in the eyes? It is like the story of the walk of the fox and the tiger through the forest. While the fox may proclaim as the king of the forest, it is the tiger walking behind that the rest are actually afraid of.

The Malaysian Insider : Umno’s misplaced anger over kangkung jokes - The Malaysian Insider

Are we ridiculing our leaders? Malaysia is presently drifting like it doesn't have a rudder in the first place. Where are the leaders? It is more like a drifting glacier melting and is that the reason why a MB is visiting Antarctica where there are only ice, penguins and polar bears? Is he going to plant a kangkung there? We need to know measures will be put in place to alleviate the effect of rising cost of living for the lower incomes and pensioners. We may not be able to tell when these measures are workable but we can definitely tell when ridiculous ideas are put forward by "Kangkung" with empty stock.

The Malaysian Insider : Cry for Dr M’s return to Putrajaya a sign of desperation for leadership, says veteran journali

If there is call for return of Mahathir, it has to be the desperate call by BN scavengers falling over one another, scrambling over whatever is left of the Nation's coffers. The saying "you can fool some people all the time and some of the people all the time" is no longer true. This is the internet age, truth is you can only fool those who don't follow the development of the nation. Everyone can write and blog over the internet and they are not like those so called veteran journalists at your beck and call. Your past misdeeds and present scheme will not be able to escape scrutiny of the public. To make a comeback is to invite for more insults than what Najib will be receiving.

The Malaysian Insider : What’s next with Dr M’s fans baying for Najib’s head to roll - The Malaysian Insid

Malaysia will never progress under Mahathir or his proxies, the way he administered the country and managed his succession plan. From the downfall of Musa and Anwar, from appointment of Abdullah to Najib, all these he put in place in the hope that he can continue to control Malaysia. There has never been any sincere action with the welfare of Malaysia at heart. Like a minister mentor LKY, he had an iron grip on BN but unfortunately for Malaysia he can't even hold a candle to LKY when coming to do the right things.

Agreed. Presumably the cream of the Malay graduates would have been recruited by the GLC and Government services, then those with the next lower level of competency will seek employment in private sector. Looking at the incompetence or dishonesty or wastefulness of (so called creamed) civil servants as reported in the Auditor General's Report every year, private sector employers would reasonably be expected to steer clear of these candidates. No private sector employer would want the existence of a "civil servant syndrome" in the business as they don't have endless fund for bailing out and no way to keep passing increase cost to consumers like a government do. Moreover, non Malays graduate who cant easily find jobs in GLC and Civil Services naturally give their best to gain employment in the only other alternative, the private sector. That is the place for survival of the fittest, no room for discrimination.

To insist and confined a study that racial discrimination exist in the private sector is lopsided to begin with. Racial discrimination is prevalent in employment in Malaysia, especially in the Government and GLC sectors. Why not carry out a study on the public sector and GLC as well, then we can have a balanced study on whether racial discrimination in employment in Malaysia is only peculiar to private sector or is worse in Public sector and GLC. If indeed it is worse in Public Sector and GLC, then highlighting only the problem in the private sector is just ignoring the existence of the bigger problem at the other sectors.

Mahathir back as PM? Expect another Project M, only this time it will be much bigger and will also include a lot of Keralan in addition to Philippinos and Indonesian? Only in Malaysia can a traitor be reappointed as PM. Will the son or daughter then be maneuvered into a position of DPM. Then we may end up like the brother and sister act like in Thailand.

The father, his daughter and his team of bloggers have been anti Putrajaya lately. I don't think 'poor' Malaysians are in for better days ahead. Action speaks louder than words. Rhetoric won't alleviate the impending big rise in cost of living. I hope I can eat my words. Mahathir, and not Najib, is the cause of Malaysians' dilemma. If Najib steps down then who shall we replace him with? Abdullah Badawi, Najib and even the DPM are all appointment and creation of Mahathir, none can rise to their present position without the support of Mahathir. So are all the many woes facing Malaysians. We are full of praise now that his team is back in action. While Najib is really inadequate, let's not replace it with another 'fake Bersih, Cekap dan Amanah' of 1981.

Send the Education Ministers and Teachers to participate in the Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa) and you will have the answer to why the quality is so bad. Our position will be 65th/65th for mathematics, 65th/65th for science and 65th/65th for reading. Our students will actually perform better than the education ministers and teachers with private tuition. Solution : Replace the Education Minister and get us qualified teachers and our ranking will improve next year.
