Jim, if both parties aren't fully committed to the relationship, how about ending the relationship instead of cheating? Why is cheating an understandable effect of growing apart and poor communication and not respectfully ending something that isn't working BEFORE you become sexually involved with someone else?

MB, I'm so glad you wrote this. The first thing I thought when she came out with that comment was, "So you're either a virgin or a slut? Way to confuse all those teenage fans of yours." There is a way to be premaritally sexually responsible and not be branded a slut. At least there should be in 2008, and when someone publicly admired (and in a teen demographic) makes a statement obviously creating good/bad out of an issue that has many shades of gray, it can do more harm for the issue than good.
