there is NO reason we should not voice our concerns with this health care reform plan. it seems to me, however, that we should distance ourselves from those who would use scare tactics and random clips of speeches. prooftexting never works. if you haven't done so already, i encourage you to read H.R. 3200 for yourself and outline the pieces that concern you. you don't have to be a lawyer, and you certainly don't have to be an elected official. the object here is to be familiar with the material so that when you are questioned or accused of "spreading misinformation," you can say, "woah! back up the chuck wagon! the BILL says this..." pax christi, gang. semmie

Although a third party looks good they often fail. I am a registered non-paritsan (not-independent, as every Independent I know seem to vote with the Dems most of the time). I study each issue and all canidates on the ballot and vote for the best of the bunch. I will always vote the issues, however, for canidates they must have a good track record to get my vote. If a person has never served in any office, has no records of service to the community or voted aginst the people then why in hell vote for him. A third party would be good if it were able to step out with power. I think at this time the people have a lot of power with what they are doing as part of the 912 project, Tea Parties, and nonviolent protests at Townhall and similar meetings. POWER TO THE PEOPLE

Well the people must be doing something right because the WH, some in the congress and senate, and many on the left (including their media clowns) are trying to dirty those who attend the townhalls, tea parties and all of the 912 efforts -- this shows we are getting under their skins. Of course the Dems won't change their ways and will go back and vote against the people -- be like the elephant and don't forget, and vote these asses out of office next year. My Republican Represenative is facing her third strike with me, I will be looking to see if there are any good conservatives running against her come next year; especially if she continues to vote against the will of the people -- she has two times already, one more and she loses my vote.

Great letter; As a genealogist the copy of his birth I have seen I could not use to prove his place of birth only his date of birth. I would need a true copy signed and/or sealed by the state/county that issues the document that include the date and place of birth......

actually, Bob, i think that's a great idea. pound one idea solidly at a time. i don't mean to give a "pass" on the poor reporting of the media, but i think it would really help to clearly state one thing at a time. so when some crazy CNN reporter gets in your face and says, "why are you here? why are you here? don't you want more bribe money?!" we can say plainly, "SECURE OUR BORDERS."
