Right now, if they see someone doing something suspicious in an alley, they have to stop and question them and play cat-and-mouse. If the laws are changed, then they can swoop in and bust whomever "needs it" (and believe me, the police know all the usual miscreants) without wasting any time. I live in Belltown, my job keeps me looking out on the alley, and the same criminals are doing the same thing in the same alleys time after time. If they were not able to settle in, their "job "of selling drugs would be a little bit harder to do. Anything that makes it harder to commit a crime is worth it. No mention was made of pilgrims or giving thanks. We just had fun. But in my school, it was nonstop christian doctrine from the day after Halloween to the day after Christmas.
