If you get the point, sure. And so would you if you knew the family. I feel sorry for you that you must turn this tragedy into sarcastic negativity. Feel free to write what you will, but I won't be responding.

I see your point...however, knowing the family personally I can tell you that they waited 6 years to adopt. This was their miracle baby. I hope the media is just expressing how loved he is.

Anyone that has children knows how easily accidents can happen. Consider this scenario or 1000 others like it...what if Jace was frustrated with the life jacket (like 2 yr olds get over any given thing) or if Sheldon went to put another layer on him because it was cold. Maybe Sheldon didn't have on a life jacket, took Jace's off to adjust it or put another coat on him, turned for 2 seconds, and bam, a busy active 2 yr old child is in the water -- dad jumps in immediately to get him but it's so cold that neither make it. Far fetched? I think not. Any parent of a 2 yr old knows how quickly things happen that you never thought could. I know the Olsen family. This is nothing but a tragic accident.

I see your point, but I DO know this family and they are truly some of the best people they have ever known. Just think for a moment: Anyone that has children knows how easily accidents can happen.
I know this family very well and there is a 0% chance this is "suspicious". They are kind incredible parents and love that little boy more than life itself. Their world revolves around him, each other, and serving others through their religious beliefs. Let Julie grieve in peace. Put your energy into praying for her comfort instead of the negativity. Please...

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Teen nearly abducted at Bonney Lake school bus stop | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Spor

I can probably fill in a few of the missing details for you there. As one of the first few neighbors to find out about the incident, I spoke with the BLPD Friday (Nov 4th) and the officer read the entire police report from that morning to me (different officer on duty at the time). I received a call from the school district yesterday after I sent them an email Tuesday evening wondering why they hadn't notified parents. Without throwing anyone under the bus, the long and short of it is that the PD gave me more info Friday than they had shared with the district since the incident. The district held off on reporting to parents as to not "hinder" the investigation and to make sure they had all the facts. I'm more frustrated at the PD than the district, especially with the history of a similar sounding problem last summer (older black sedan following young girls) which I've heard from multiple sources now. It would have taken very little time to knock on a couple doors Friday morning and ask the neighbors to spread the word of what we should be looking for. Seems they are ignoring their most valuable asset as this is a great area to live with responsible people, especially with many stay-at-home parents.

It doesn't matter how old the girl was, I'm sure she was very shaken after it happened and possibly confused as to what to do as far as who she should report it to. Either way my biggest concern is that the only reason the families in the neighborhood discovered what happened was because a different bus driver mentioned it to a parent later that afternoon (after school). Concerned parents resorted to calling the police for the story and who/what to be looking for. The school never notified families. These are all equally as upsetting to me.
