That was awesome! I liked the dynamite surfing and the dove ad. I would say very effective, more than normal ads (at least for me).

But advertising creates awareness and the message will be stored in our subcontiousness (supposedly). This should then influence us to buy. So I don't buy Beck's because of the sailing ads - but are they ineffective? They keep the brand in our minds ...

I guess it is ease of use. Then it is a question of doing things more easily for a greater number of people (you don't need a high-powered workstation to edit videos but can potentially do it from an iPhone ...

ah yes, remember data visualization techniques from studying computer science. very interesting ideas to display multiple dimensions at the same time on a 2-dimensional plane. I think the maximum was 6 or 7 dimensions, using shapes, sizes and colors. getting more and more interesting with the amount of data on the web of course.

I would be very careful though using linkedin for recruiting purposes. You don't want to alienate your network by approaching people for jobs. and if - make sure you give something back in return.
