They committed an act of piracy on the high seas. Armed personnel boarding vessels in International waters is piracy. Those on the vessels have a legal right to defend themselves. If the IDF had wanted to act within the law, then the vessels should have been stopped in territorial waters and searched legally for illegal goods such as arms etc. Unfortunately, Israel is a renegade state.
