Driver came upon a stopped school bus, students lined up to board, red lights flashing, stop sign out. The driver did not see them! The driver hit a young teen, and continued on to work, not knowing, distracted with business. When the driver arrived at work and noticed damage to car. It is scientifically impossible! Multi tasking?. Don't do it driving! Text message driving should be as illeagal as is drunk driving. PERIOD. How many times have you almost been hit, layed on the horn, driver continues and doesn't even know what they did? People need to set their priorities while driving - to driving! Distracted driving is illeagal and should inforced! Drivers should be pulled over when they appear distracted. Sitations or warnings should be left up to the officer's discression. Offenders could plead their case in the court of law and provide cell phone GPS records to prove they were not driving while on the phone! Severe penalties of 500$ or more given for cell phone offenders. This will make the roads safer, and provide revenue to the community! There is something about putting that phone up to ones ear that makes it way more distracting than having a conversation with a passenger! THE STUDENT HAS A PERMANENT BRAIN INJURY!
