Unfortunately Brent you clearly don't understand the problems with Nuclear power as (unfortunately) many crazy right wingers don't. First of all any nuclear power plant would take around 10 years to go online where many other options can be viable to make America energy independent quicker. Not only that but nuclear power is by far the most expensive form of energy that we could put into the grid. It costs billions of dollars, takes around 10 years to get going when we could be investing in other technologies right now. And contrary to whatever source this incorrect information was pulled from not only does President Obama (has a great ring to it eh?) support natural gas, most environmentalists do as well. It serves as a much cleaner burning alternative to coal and oil, and can serve as a transition fuel as we begin to use more green energy sources.

I think that as Americans we should support a strong investment in our infrastructure and real work to combat global warming. We need to pass Obama's budget and pass Waxman and Markey's global warming bill. GOD BLESS AMERICA
