After last week's episode, I didn't expect anything but cotton candy, but instead got a very funny story that took advantage of every aspect of Pinkie's fractured personality and delved unexpectedly into her character, forcing her to deal with her less than kind actions in her past. The least empathic character gets a lesson in empathy. How sweet, even down to the fourth wall ending. I keep reminding myself that this is a children's show, and suddenly I'm more amazed.
