Who goes to their arraignment looking like this? An arrogant, uncaring, user...what she did is awful. Her punishment is light. She may have been at the "end of her rope" financially but you don't use a child like that! She looks defiant with her "attitude" shirt and all. Other people get to the end of their "rope" too but there are other ways to get assistance!

KATU - Portland, OR : Black lab killed by pit bull | News | North Portland News

That is the thing about Pit bulls, sometimes no one sees it coming. I have read about Pits bulls that: out of the blue attacked their owner who was watching tv; showed no sign of aggression and then killed the child they had known since its birth; never tried to attack an animal before then took the door off the house going for a cat on the sidewalk. I believe that when a pit bull attacks another animal, or a person,UNPROVOKED, that pit bull is no longer safe. Period. Perhaps the owner and dog should have a forced intense training period at which time the animal can be appraised for potential danger, barring that I wouldn't want that animal in my neighborhood. The real problem is once there is a first attack...do we want a a "Second"?

Help us please take back our government...so it will never be the right of every American to have access to the care offered in EVERY OTHER MODERN COUNTRY. If you lose a job you are offered COBRA at 4 times the cost. The GOP has nothing to offer. Certainly nothing better, not any real alternative... just.rhetoric and fear. Same old Same old. The GOP and Tea Party spout a lot...offer little.

KATU - Portland, OR : Man charged in death of Minn. teen who took drug | KATU.com - Portland News, Sports, Traffic Weather

If it had been booze he provided to a bunch of 19 year olds would the case be different? NO. You have to be 21 to buy it in MN OR drink it legally, and if you provide alcohol OR drugs to minors and something happens, YOU are libel. Seems I recall recently a mom at a party got the kids juiced and even went to bed with one - everyone was so hopping mad at her. Same thing. You throw a party and have some drugs or alcohol and you get minors amped up, you are responsible. He will probably get an involuntary manslaughter charge out of it...and he probably has f-ed up his life for a long time. Bottom line - he took the risk, he bought the stuff.

According to the report, little Oleander had physical evidence of LONG standing abuse. This was not a one time incident. SO unless Miss Quintero was a work 24/7, she saw it, she knew about it, (she may have Done some of it) and she did not stop it. Get off the soap opera box and face it - she is guilty if nothing else of incredible neglect and complacence. If she did not witness the Act of abuse, she sure as hell witnessed the effects!

I agree. The persons who spoke to me commented on how she acted the day they found out about the girl. She did not seem sad, did not seem shocked, just did not act the grieving stepmom at all. Her own two children do not appear to have been harmed, so I am not sure she was ever "scared". I am not sure she did not participate, nor will I ever know, I suppose. And yes, the family sure as heck should have seen something, and if they did, gotten involved! This is a convoluted and sad case all around.

Just Love the weird laws...she gets a lot less because I suppose there is less "physical" damage. A consensual encounter but one of vast age difference...and yeah, a man would get a lot more. The thing is, there was a time when no one could perhaps conceive of a woman "raping" someone unless she used a tool or did something like that. If I was that 14 year old's mom I'd have a lot to say and none of it pleasant! Getting a bunch of minors drunk and using one of them...30 days seems utterly ridiculous in terms of time.!

I am sorry but I cannot make sense of Shocked 101. English 2nd language...? I know people who know Quintero, too. What they say is not nearly as flattering nor does it make her out to be so innocent. I suppose there are two sides to any story, but one result in this case. A dead, beautiful girl.

KATU - Portland, OR : \'It\'s the worst example of hoarding I\'ve ever seen\' | KATU.com - Portland News, Sports, Traffic

I lived with a hoarder in St Paul, MN. 14 animals...she would not let them go outdoors to crap because (in the middle of summer when it was 90 outside) they might "get too cold." She would feed the 10 cats on the floor, so the dogs could eat all their food, then put dog food out. The cats were always starving (I tried to feed them). Now and again friends would pop in and move cats when the lady was not home...she would replace them. No one could pet any of them as they were all pretty wild. I can imagine this situation all too well. I bailed, moved out as soon as I could. The woman was nuts, and dangerous. If anyone criticized her or her "babies" she would sit there on her bed muttering, while holding a knife. BUT: She managed her house. Cooked. Baby sat for people. Was respected. I hope all people who ever end up coming into contact with this situation will handle it better than I did...and maybe save some animals. And humans.

You want to try something fun - why not go to the school wearing a Nazi Swastika? Or some other bullshit. Maybe he ought to sport a KKK flag or whatever they use. Schools have some rights in deciding what is appropriate, what can incite trouble, (they can ban gang colors and shirts and wraps). He got a warning. He ignored it.
