My dog LOVES to be with me. I work from home and we are together almost 24/7. When I am not home, she mopes about until I get home and the excitement she shows when she sees me is almost painful (she has long toe nails). She is not a slave but is another member of our family. There is plenty of blame to go around. Yes, the court system (not a justice system) is also hugely to blame in that they dont properly punish bad behaviour but also the elected officials who wont properly fund our schools and prison systems . If you wont properly fund schools, you better be prepared to properly fund prisons. Just because basic educaton is free (tax payer funded) and mandatory does not mean that everyone takes advantage of it. Kids dop out and many who do stay in, just use that time to socialize and network. No one is forced to study and learn. Many of these people are unemployed because they choose to be. Its easy when the government subsidizes their housing and food. This is in fact a big part of the problem. Many of the women there are having babies so that their monthly government support allotment increases.

Unfortunately, you are WRONG. I think our police should be held to the SAME laws as everyone else. Our police force MUST enforce the law, not break it in order to hold respect. If we say it is against the law to assault or kill people and let the police assault and kill people what have we gained? Apparently in your mind, the police are above the law. The only reason crime is up is because you think it okay for the largest organised gang in the city (SPD) to be self policed.

Here is more on that subject. 1) You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legistlating the wealth out of prosperity, 2) What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. 3) The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. 4) You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. 5) When half the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and then the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end for that nation.

While I am happy they are finally being prosecuted, an anonymous tip can only go so far. Our laws say we have the right to face our accusers and any information/testimony in a court of law is public record. It has to be that way in order to keep the courts/government from railroading innocent people and even so, it still happens.

I have already agreed with you (twice) about WANTING to punish deadbeat parents. My point is that realistically, we cant even keep VIOLENT offenders in jail and if I have to choose between incarcerating deadbeat parents vs violent sexual predators, I will chose to jail the violent sexual predators every time. What they deserve and what we are able (and willing) to do are very different things.
