No one in the Puget Sound region wants to pay for anything. The regional mantra is "WAAAH!!! My taxes are too high!" Then something happens that challenges the infrastructure, and there is a horrible whining sound about the anemic governmental response.
You can’t have it both ways. Higher taxes can provide an adequate number of snow removal and sand trucks running 24/7. Of course, you will also be paying for their maintenance in the long stretches between uses.
And you will have to actually be able to think past the populist propaganda of people like Tim Eyeman. But if you don’t want to pay for a robust infrastructure, then shut the hell up and do it yourself. Minimum tax = minimum service. Get it?
