That is so true- lots of players with "half a game." Hell- there's some players in the NBA with half a game. What it comes down to is this kid has some skills that are fun to watch, but at 12, there's no way to know how far this kid can go. Will he burn out at 16? Will he grow enough to play beyond high school? If he keeps working hard on an all around game, he may be fortunate enough to be able to put himself through college with his skill. But to put him in a league with ANY professional player at this point is just silly. (Not that you did it, but a couple others have.)

C'mon, man. You know defensive skills don't make the highlight reel of a news report. I would have to assume that a kid that works as hard as you need to get those skills (especially with a jump rope) probably has some pretty good footwork and quick hands for defense.
