What does it matter that he is Mexican, Spanish, White, Black, Green, Orange, or Purple?

He hit and killed somebody. Race doesn't matter here. Respect her and quit arguing about something so petty when the big picture here is that a poor woman is dead.

I agree - I think if the parents aren't bullies, then there are just other issues at home that are troublesome for the kid and they are acting out in other ways such as bullying.

That statement right there pretty much sums this mother up. Takes full responsibility, but it's still their fault. Give me a freakin' break, lady. There is a 99% chance you knew that it was field day and you should've packed them with sun screen..it's no secret that the weather has been crazy lately so you should've played it save.

Bullying is a direct line from somebody's home life. My parents weren't bullies growing up and treated me well...I didn't bully.
