As responsible, Christian, home-schooling parents who love America and all she stands for, we have worked hard to ensure that our children know and believe that all men are created equal in God's eyes. The color of someone's skin means no more to our children than the color of someone's eyes. If Barack Obama becomes president, he and his cohorts have every intention of forcing our children into public schools to be taught "social justice," i.e. that because God created them with light skin, they are inherently evil murderers. My children, like all of the children I know, are innocent in this. Yet Obama and his friends believe that because of something that happened decades before they were born, the children of today must pay. Schools were intended to teach reading, writing, and arithmetic. They are failing miserably at this, and why? Could it possibly be that they are spending so much time teaching "social justice," "counseling," and "multi-culturalism" that they don't have time for the ABCs and 123s?

I think the point is that McCain's campaign did, catch and rectify the issue. Obama's campaign, on the other hand, did the following: In a nutshell: apparently, the Obama campaign disabled security checks that verify the name and address of a card-holder. This has resulted in cases like Mary Biskup of Manchester, Missouri who supposedly donated $174,800, which was just $172,500 above the legal limit. Biskup told the Post that someone must have use her name but other people's credit cards to donate the money since no charges ever showed up on her bill. I'll give them credit for the fact that they did catch Mary giving $172,500 above the limit, but for people like Steve and Rachel Larman, whose credit card number was stolen and used to donate to the Obama campaign, in the amount of $2,300, Obama's campaign did nothing. Of course, Obama's campaign is totally ignorant of the problem- it's somewhere out there with Bill Ayers' past- and no one associated with their campaign could be possibly be participating. Because if I'm stealing credit card numbers, the first thing I'm thinking is politics. Forget about that big screen tv or cruise to the Bahamas. That's so yesterday.

Money isn't a sin, the love of money is a sin. There is nothing wrong with money itself, with having money, or with making or spending money. It's when you put money above everything else, including God, that sin enters the picture. If you have no money, and spend your life focusing on the fact that you have no money and looking for someone to blame, rather than praising God that you have a life to live, it's just as sinful as someone who has a lot of money, and stepped on a lot of people to get that money. For a person to work hard, make a ton of money, and spend their time doing good is not a sin.

I haven't been on the computer enough today to have read what he has said about his return, other than the article Duane used to quote. He probably does plan to craft a different plan. I was simply stating my opinion of what they should do, which is go to D.C. and vote against the bailout. I agree that this is a socialist step- that's why the politicians and liberal media are all out there running around yelling about how the sky is falling. They want to scare people into supporting the evolution of our democracy into a socialist state. I heard someone say this week that the Democrats are robbing us, and the Republicans are driving the get-away car. Both sides are participating in this farce.

It is a bold move; one that will either guarantee him the election, or guarantee that he loses. I can see people taking it either way. I think Obama has shown in the past that he never really considered the Senate to be his work place. The number of times he voted "present" rather than actually express an opinion or attempt to make a positive change indicates to me that he saw the Senate as a stepping stone and nothing more, and put in as little effort as possible, doing only those things necessary to move him forward to the Presidency. Why, then, would he suspend his rush to the White House to return to a place and a job that he never saw as fitting for someone such as himself? I don't agree with the bailout, but I do agree with McCain that they should be there. McCain and Obama took the job of representing their states in the Senate, and ought to be there to do their job during this time. It's not like they're missing a vote over some piddly piece of legislation; this is a major moment in the history of our country. They should both be there, voting against the bailout. But then, that would require not only that Barack BE present, but that he cast a vote besides present. Has he ever done that on purpose?

To which hypocrites are you referring? It's obvious that you know nothing about the Lester household, for example. Not only are all four of our vehicles American-made, one of them made cars.com's top ten list for vehicles that are the "most American," considering sales, where parts are made, and where the cars are assembled. And although we do occasionally shop at Wal-Mart, we are more the backwoods types who grow most of our food, shoot and butcher the rest. Milk comes from a local dairy. I personally am opposed to paying new prices for most non-consumable goods, so clothes, dishes, furniture, etc. generally comes from the local thrift shop or garage sales. While these products quite likely were manufactured overseas, our money actually goes to the local sheltered workshop, which runs the thrift store, or individuals in town. It is clear that your objective in commenting on this article is not to generate discussion, but instead to mindlessly throw out insults when you know nothing about the people you are insulting.

We bought a house during this time period, and there were plenty of credit checks. The problem was not that credit checks weren't happening, but that people were buying into high risk loans, loans that came with balloon payments and high interest rates because they wanted that big house now, instead of waiting until they could actually afford it. We bought a house that we could afford, and while we may have quickly outgrown the house, at least we didn't lose it because we were greedy and bought that 400K-500K house that we couldn't meet payments on. Maybe the people you know should have done the same.

I realize this article is more sarcastic and less pleasant than I usually try to be; I admit that I have let Obama's contempt for anyone who doesn't worship at his feet get under my skin and irritate me. I have let his vision of the death of democratic America and capitalism, and the rise of a socialist nation keep me awake at night, worrying about the possibility that my children will not enjoy a future that includes life, liberty, and happiness if Barack is elected. I just really don't get why anyone would support this Marxist who hates us and would take our freedom.
