That is pretty lame. I was fortunate enough to see it in theaters and it is a pretty powerful film. Although it has been a while since I have seen it, I must say that the dialogue was unique and had a certain charm to it. It feels wrong to just overlook it like this.

I agree. I would have been very surprised if I had not known of all the whimsical stuff from this trailer reveals. Good call by Pixar to start marketing the movie in a way that gives the viewer a little more information on what the film is all about. Disney rocks.

/Film : Watchmen - What Did You Think?

It did not live up to my expectations. I left the theater last night with a bad taste in my mouth. First off, I did not like the soundtrack very much at all. A couple of times the songs seemed ridiculously placed and poorly chosen (as in the gratuitous sex scene in Archie with that bizarre version of Hallelujah in the background) Also i was not off put by the twist at the end of the film. In fact, I thought it was a good way to mix things up for some of the folks who had read the Graphic novel. However I felt not enough was twisted and turned. Not saying that it should have drifted from the original story, but it might have translated better to film if it had. And I feel like they should have left more out. The 30-45 minutes of exposition for both groups of watchmen felt forced and poorly executed. I asked my friends that had not read the graphic novel about how they felt and they said that was one of the most confusing parts. Not to forget the unnecessary amount of blood. I realize it was in the comic, but there was some serious moments of snapping and spurting that were not needed in my opinion. It was halfway entertaining and nice to look at for the most part. Probably not going to see it four times like I planned on it originally.
