Scott Granneman's Classes : The Free and The Unfree: Strong Medicine

Part of Health Care Reform should have been dedicated to addressing these issues. There should also be an international market for drugs, so market forces can lead to lower prices.

I agree with Arvind. Rather than directly threaten the campaign, launch a grassroots campaign. The public pressure will force their action.

Scott Granneman's Classes : One-Fifth of Human Genes Have Been Patented, Study Reveals

I don't get why genes can be patented. I get their use for research, but the innovation that takes place should be patented, not the research subject.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Federal Circuit Reins in Business Method Patent

Given their age, their technical incompetence should not be a surprise. Patents for technology will become obsolete shortly, as by the time the patent is actually awarded, the technology will be obsolete. After all technology improves exponentially.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Who's got the patent?

I find it ironic that a company called OpenMarket is patenting so much stuff. Also, it's not like these are original ideas, they are old ideas that are being used in a new medium.

This is fantastic! Someone ought to elect these people to congress. I like the "Abolish Software, Business Method and Gene Patents" the best. It's rational, and the description explains why the patents for these are unnecessary.

There needs to be some type of reforms so patents are actually read, and the stupid ones arent awarded. People simply take advantage of the system.

Scott Granneman's Classes : How undercover cops get suspects' DNA

This is a great point, and it scares me that we are beginning to rely this much on DNA as it can easily be manipulated to show one person was in one place when they were not. How much hair does one lose in a day? That hair can easily be picked up by someone and left somewhere else.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Schoolchildren to be fingerprinted in Big Brother-style shake-up

Is there a reason that they can't just give a student ID? This is outrageous, and if this was happening in my school distirct and I had kids, I would look to file a lawsuit or suit. Damian Green has some good proposals, but the fact of the matter is there shouldnt be finger printing at all. The British are getting out of hand with some of these measures.
