I think Kurtz is missing the obvious, or intentionally disregarding the fact that everyone knows that Karl Rove, Dick Morris, etc. are political operatives. They make no claims to the contrary. They're on the shows for their expertise. Hannity has never hidden his affilitation with the Republican party, though he now claims that he's not a Republican, he's a Reagan Conservative... whatever, he's never tried to hide it and he isn't a news anchor so he doesn't have to be impartial. Olbermann, on the other hand, thinks he's Edward R Murrow, and his company has a policy against donating to candidates.
