Your pictures of Southport are gorgeous! I only live 20 minutes away and unfortunately I've been there so many times that it's started to slowly lose its appeal over the years. Thanks to you and your lovely pictures, it's made me want to go back!
I always seem to avoid scrubs like the plague because I tend to get overenthusiastic and end up looking like a lobster, but my favourite scrub was one I nicked from my mum. It was by Sanctuary and smelt like orange and honey and it was DIVINE.
£14.50 per person isn't bad for an afternoon tea, especially at Harvey Nics! And that chocolate cake looks heavenly, and now I'm seriously craving a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake! I had a similiar experience when I took my mum to the London Carriage Works in Liverpool for Mother's Day - although the service was fantastic and the cakes were divine, the sandwiches were so disappointing and we were rushed through our meal so they could give the table to someone else! It's such a shame that a bad service can really put you off!
Good luck! Reading this post made me realize how pitiful my own lipbalm collection is - mostly because it's less of a 'collection' and more of a single, lonely tub of Vaseline! Usually if my lips are really suffering, I'll use some olive oil and leave it on for a good five minutes. That stuff is a miracle worker!
I completely agree that high street beauty products are getting more expensive. And while some products I use regularly have only gone up by 20 or 30p, what's to stop them from going up even more? And the numbers on Barry M products drive me mad - I have a lipstick and I have no idea what shade it is because the number has worn off on the bottom!
Love this post! As soon as I saw 17's Real Romantic nail polish, I instantly thought of my nan. In fact, she may have a couple of these around the house somewhere! And Dream Matte Mousse is one of the worst foundations I've ever tried: it highlights dry areas, slides off oily areas, so the only people who can wear this foundation are people who don't need to wear foundation!
There's nothing better than wearing a bright nail varnish to make you feel summery, but I'll always be a nude girl at heart! I've definitely jumped on board the sherbert nails bandwagon though: they're bright enough for me to get my summery fix when I'm not feeling brave enough to wear flouro nails.
I love the sparkle & fade polish! In my head bright yellow nail polish sounds so wrong but it always looks so great on, especially with a tan. I definitely think the High Street is taking over higher end brands when it comes to bright polishes, especially brands like Barry M, 17 and Rimmel.

I have Belle and Bee Hive, and they're two of my most used lipsticks that I own. I'm constantly having to re-buy them! I'll definitely be investing in Nudist Peach and Peace, I've never tried them and I've no idea why because they're such gorgeous colours!
Do you find that they melt SO easily, though? I have two of Belle and both of them have started to disintergrate!
I never noticed that it smells of sweets, but you're right! It's also almost an exact dupe for Chanel's Coco Rouge Shine lipstick in Sari D'eau (which I'll be doing a post about in a few weeks) and is literally a sixth of the cost!
