Find a drunk driver who killed someone who is in jail for 20 years? Not in this state.
Well, if Hot Java Hunnies was a large business with over 20 employees you would probably have no problem finding a lawyer to pick this up, but in this case, probably not. I did not mean to imply that your mother does not have rights as a human, but that as an employee of a tiny business, she is not protected by anti-discrimination laws.
Well, as a former business owner, your mom probably also understands business law. Good luck with your fight, which you could possibly win in court depending on Kent laws and how good of a lawyer you will pay, but she will not be protected by the ADEA or Washington HRC. Sucks your mom lost a job, but it happens.
I think your assumption here is that republicans are here complaining about the cuts, which I don't necessarily see. I, for one, did say thank you when the budget cuts were first reported a week or so ago and that I wished they had went even further. Ending the automatic COLA in state pensions was another good move not too long ago and I only hope they win the lawsuit brought against them by the union.
I wonder if there will be a postscript to this posting from a month ago. The other day, several of the anarchists involved in the Overman incident decided to take to the streets to throw trash around and break stuff. They then gang attacked two private citizens who attempted to clean up the mess that was being left. It is near impossible to defend this type of behavior as anything less than gang like, albeit this may be about the weakest gang in the Western United States. Can we maybe admit that the police chief may be correct in his assessment of this behavior as gang violence, despite how much seem to hate that phrase?
Pay for prison. Treating this type of violent psychopathic behavior is incredibly difficult if not impossible to treat. RIP to all those involved
