It started raining just a few minutes ago. We had cleaned off our sidewalks and I noticed our sidewalks were just getting wet. In a matter of 1-2 minutes our sidewalk was ICE. not it is snowing, and hard. The sidewalks that were clear 5 minutes ago are now white. It started freezing rain last night about 8 and has been off and on all morning. it was 27* last we were out around 11 am. We drove into down town Salem and the roads were pretty slushy. We did okay with chains on but I wouldn't want to venture out w/o chains. Our road and most of the side roads are just a sheet of ice.
