Just watched the ambush, what a yawn moment compared to previous years. I remember anticipating they were driving to my door any minute. Now they don't even show the ambush on HGTV anymore, how boring....I wonder if HGTV is slowing deleting home giveaways altogether? They don't even have clues for the next dream home posting anymore, I wonder if Scripps Inc. has new management/CEO?

Hi everyone, I sure miss the blogs... I've been trying to find out where the Smart Home is located. I know it's in North Scottsdale, but where? I would like to visit the neighborhood and take pictures. HGTV has even taken down the blog cabin link :(

Is it my imagination, or is the blog button missing from the Blog Cabin site? I also noticed that a cash option is not available if you win the Blog Cabin. Not to be negative, but many people would not be able to keep the Blog cabin because of the tax payment. I also wonder will they shut down the blog for the dream Home? :(

Like you DBCoop, Sonoma was my favorite...location and my home state. I've just returned from a trip to Sedona, Az., that would be a wonderful Dream Home location. I don't think they will ever select Hawaii, for the simple fact that it is located to far from the continental U.S.

Hope we start getting clues to the next location...Florida leads the pack with a total of 3 Dream Home locations. I would love a Dream Home location in Arizona, maybe Sedona, or Paradise Valley. The state of Washington would also be a nice choice. hint, hint HGTV :D

I love the matte finish appliances, with stainless steel finger prints, and streaks are a nuisance to keep clean . I also love the concrete counter tops, with the herb garden built right in. I don't have to go outside every time I want to use herbs. Beautiful home :D

albbora...I didn't read anything in the rules that said you have to enter only from your home computer. I only see the email address you use has to be your own email, and not another person's email. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

I'm not sure if you are asking about property taxes, or winning taxes. If you win you will have to pay income taxes on +2mil 30-35% I not that good with math, but around 700,000. -750,000.00 you would have to pay for 2013 tax bill. You could also take the cash option, 1.5 mil plus the car, not a bad deal, you could then build the kind of home you need, and in a place you would like to live. Hope this helps
