A lot here are wondering about all the details and why the mother wants the boy expelled. I am the father and husband; First let me tell you we would never be here if the school had taken this seriously in the beginning. Now because of the news coverage they are which is all we wanted in the first place. We thank Ms. Melica Johnson for her attention and community caring she showed in her coverage. We had asked the school for many of the suggestions posted here, family services, anger management, gun safety, etc. But the school just blew if off as no big deal. My wife said that if nothing is done expulsion should be the last resort. The news story focused in on that statement. All we want, as any parent, is a safe learning environment for our son, which includes all the young ones in our neighborhood, community and city. And yes we believe that the school’s oversight starts and ends at the bus stops – I know many don’t.
