Tumblr is part of Yahoo, Yahoo is notorious for not checking if abuse reports about adult content areas are even vaguely true. They often don't check to see if they are even vaguely coherent, that they looked closely enough to give a reason is an improvement.

Oh, _this_ myth again. Fanfics, like any other work, are indeed copyrighted. That they may also be copyright or trademark violations in their own right does not change this. Remember that "derivative", in the context of copyright law, actually means "the same thing in a different form." It's things like translations and radio plays that fall under the original copyright. As for why they avoid fanfic: It's because, in the past, writers of fanfic have sued when a movie or TV show does something similar.

I don't think we would even need a multi-generation time skip. It would also work for Twilight's ascension to be the finale of Friendship is Magic with MLP moving on to a new show in the same setting. Twilight herself becomes either an occasional character or a supporting character, (depending on the nature of the new show[1]). [1] One based around Celestia's school could easily have Twilight, (alicorn or not), as a professor.

One hypothesis I put forward handles Blueblood just fine: Equestria doesn't follow the British/French baseline most people assume, but rather works more along the lines of the Holy Roman Empire. This means that there are going to be all kinds of princes, dukes, margraves, etc. running around with some of the higher ranking ponies having multiple titles. So, Celestia could be the Equestian Empress but she is also the reigning princess of the Principality of Everfree[1], (a title she prefers to use for personal reasons). Similarly, Blueblood is either the reigning prince of Canterlot or the heir but is largely sidelined by the presence of the Imperial Court. [1] Or at least what's left of it after the unpleasantness a thousand years ago.

Nah, exploding sheep have been showing up in games for years. One of the Easter eggs in Warcraft II was the fact that sheep would explode if you clicked on them 50 times. Why would you click on them that much? Most units made comments when clicked on, starting with reasonable ones, (e.g. "yes?"), and then getting silly if you clicked the same unit enough times in a row, (e.g. "quit poking me").

On further thought, I'm not sure if ACiv[1] would be worth doing. It would really become nothing more than ACiv on a map of Equestra. But Maharaja[2], OTOH, I think I might actually take a crack at. The first step would be to come up with a list of cultures. Obviously, I would need at least one each for the three types of pony and Equestria plus gryphons, dragons, changelings and the forces of Discord. That gives us 8, doubling up on the ponies puts that to 11 and we could also add the flutter ponies with them becoming changelings the same way the Mauryans become the Guptas to reach 12. The bison would also work to get us to 13. Hmmm... I think three for each kind of pony: An early one, (aimed to be forced out by the non-pony cultures), one from the migration and either a post-Discord, (if I have it go migration-Discord-Equestria), or a set of weak ones just before Discord, (for Discord-migration-Equestria). That's 16, which should be good. Presuming four players, perhaps make the big scorers the dragons, Discord, flutter ponies/changelings and Equestria. The original Sid Myers Civ was very bad for the stone v. modern problem. It worked by a simple chit draw: The attacker got its attack value in chits and the defender got its modified defence value in chits, one was drawn and the loser died. Combing that with the highest stat any unit[1] could have being 27, (a veteran battleship's attack), there was always a minimum of a 3.5% chance to win[2]. CivII dealt with this by adding health and damage values. Just requiring multiple rounds in the fight helps the advanced unit, adding the increased HP for gunpowder, most kinds of vehicle and being a battleship plus the extra damage for explosive shells/bombs insures that your tanks are instant death to the poor computer players who spent all that time fighting wars rather than researching. As for ponifying ACiv, we could use a bit more of the map, (the current one would be a bit boring[3]). However, thinking about it, Britannia/Maharajah would likely work rather well, (with Equestria taking the role of the British in Maharajah). [1] Other than the nuke, which never got used if the player was at all skilled. [2] In many circles, savescumming to avoid these WHAT?!?!? moments was considered acceptable. [3] Let's just say that there is a reason that both coasts of the Mediterranean are always in play.

That sort of thing has been an issue from the very first of the Sid Myers Civs. Personally, I far prefer ACiv. However, that only runs to about 1CE. (Hmmm... I wonder if an Equestrian version of ACiv would work. It would definitely need a different set of Civ cards, perhaps replacing Religion with Magic.)

Well, all it needs is for political decisions to be made by a body of representatives. It does not matter how those representatives are picked. So, for all we know, Luna could be simply naming people to the Senate/Congress/Parliament/Diet/whatever. Don't assume that republic inherently means democratic republic.

Oh, crashes likely happened just nothing that was a dramatic as the Hindenburg fire. Not that it really matters: What killed airships is the simple fact that they suck. In Equestria, where they have weather control[1] and magic, they may have been able to deal with the problems airships have. [1] Potential story detail: Weather teams have to make sure that airship routes are clear of heavy weather.
