Its not that difficult to swim 25 yards in baggy clothing as long as there is no current. As a swimmer I wear clothing that creates the most drag as possible and get a better workout. If they cant swim 25 yards in baggy clothing I doubt they can swim 25 yard nude.

Maybe we should just outlaw the shoe laces and just use Velcro to secure them! After all, we can’t discriminate those that cant tie their own shoes....... lol!!!!

They make decent pay depending on the airline but only after years and years of minimal pay at the regionals or freight haulers. Take for example Skywest..one of the regionals that flys in and out of SEA. A first officer with 5 years at the company will make $41 per hour....sounds like a nice rate....until you consider a guarantee of only 75 hours for the month. I wanted to fly for a living but by the time I earned my commercial multi instrument I was making a good wage. Going to the airlines would have required a 70% cut in pay. I have the time and expierence but I also have a house payment to make. At least my hours are paid for!

Almsot 20 years ago I got to see that exact same thing while flying from the right seat into SEA. All of Seattle was under a blanket of fog. The only thing visible were the radio towers on Queen Anne and Capitol Hills, a few taller buildings downtown, and the Space Needle which looked like a flying saucer hovering right at the top of the fog.....Then we were in the "soup" all the way to minimums!

I know that stretch of river quite well as I fish it every fall....there is a slight ledge just under the water.
