Is this sort of activity, at a person's home, legal? Why are not the police (union) setting up barrier and requiring orderly conduct? The mayor is the respresentative of the citizens. Where is he/she? The mayor should be recalled, or the firing of the chief of police demanded? Union nurses lost their credibility years ago in abandoning their patients to strike for personal benefits. And don't let them con you that a skeleton staff of nurses tended to sick patients or the ER staffing and OR staffing was not neglected. I am an M.D. I have been there and seen them in action. Doctors, real doctors that is and not "doctors" of something else, do not strike. It would be a sacrilege to the Hippocratic Oath.
