GazetteOnline.com : Anger in University Heights over condo project

Well, if you want to throw around fancy looking stats like 20% population increase, (which is fairly meaningless considering where UH is located), then I can take your 1000 cars a day and make that less than 1 car per minute. Certainly Melrose can handle an extra car per minute?

"but in fact, downtown establishments offer ... access to cabs and buses" Wow, maybe Mondanaro should let the city know that the buses run from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am. I bet that would be news to them.

Well, according to the last article, "The 12-foot-wide trail will sit in the middle of a 120-foot railroad right of way," so I don't think you have to fear snow being put from the trail onto a sidewalk of a private residence

Except that the licensing policy of the UI and the 21-ordinance should be completely unrelated. It's sad that somehow in the media they've become connected. And in that article you're referencing, none of the quotes said anything more than "it's too early to tell," but the headline screamed otherwise. I think all we're seeing is a lack of good journalism, honestly.

So, you're pretty much reprinting the article from the P-C from last week? And like I commented there, if the headline is going to be "some are questioning," then there should actually be "some" quoted in the article, not one person (and not one that has made it clear that his intent is to go to the media and try to give the UI a bad reputation)
