There should be no plea bargains for drunk driving. So preventable, so tragic, a senseless loss of life. To the family of the deceased, my sincere condolences. This will undoubtedly be one of your worst days. I'm so sorry.

And to the family of the driver, my condolences to you too. Your relative is going to have many unpleasant years dealing with the results of his drunken behavior. I hope he can pull himself together, and try and make something positive come from this horrific mistake. He is going to be hated, for a very long time.

So, you think Whitney's mom never told her daughter to stop using drugs? And you think that is all that's needed to make a person stop? Pretty naive of you. If all it took was a concerned mom, this world would have a lot less addicts, don't cha think?? I have no idea if Whitney's mom is a narcissist, and neither do you. But what I didn't read was her mother saying that Whitney should be a role model. Those are words you made up to preach your tidy little sermon. She said she was proud of her daughter, which has a very different meaning, and I'm pretty sure she is proud of her for reasons OTHER than drug use.

Of course she's proud of her. Whitney's gone, being anything other than proud at this point, is senseless. Another tragic loss thanks to addiction. May her mom get the closure she needs, and have many treasured memories of her little girl.

Your point is well taken. It does however, sound a tiny bit like you are blaming the victim. She may have been clean and sober, there trying to help a friend, who knows? She's gone now, and questioning her program of recovery seems insensitive. That's probably not what you meant, but it does come off that way.

High on spice is the excuse? Do we get to use our addictions as reasons to murder people these days? I certainly hope not. His family, in my opinion, needs to shut up and sit down, be the quiet support for him, and not be offering public EXCUSES for his heinous behavior. No one wants to hear the lame reasons for his murderous rampage, it really doesn't even matter. Let the girls family speak out, they are the only ones who deserve to talk now.

Whats sad is that she is going to do maybe half of her sentence, and then she'll be out hunting for another man to victimize. This woman is a mooch of the highest degree, and clearly must have some special talents for conning people. She needs a tattoo on her forehead stating that she is a liar, murderer and thief. That might slow her down a bit.

I'm SO glad Larry is in jail where he belongs, I only wish his evil wife could be there too. She deserves it as much as he does. I bet they are both interested in contacting their children, in hopes of threatening them not to talk and reveal the TRUTH about the horrors of the parents actions. Its unspeakable what sweet Hana endured, but with help the other children can hopefully be saved, and be shown what a loving family is really like.
I want to fast forward to the part where the parents go to prison.

I hope Mrs Warga and the children have the loving support of their family and community during this horrible time. Just another reason to try and relish each and every day. You never know whats around the next corner.
