I'm using one made by Peican, it has multiple inputs on the back as well as 4 more USB slots. I have the intercooler as well but it makes to much noise.

you need to look at that little gray box looking thing on your component cord and switch it ti HD first, and then when you are in your settings, your set will only go to 1080i, then thats what yopu set it to. you can only do 1080p with a 1080p capable tv and HDMI.

Is there a blockbuster sticker on the CD/DVD it self? if there is, that sticker can throw the balance of the cd/dvd off and could cause some damage to the Disc Drive.

once updated you can't go back, this is the new dashboard for the 360, it seems complicated but its actually really cool when you get familier with it. Although I do not condone hiding things from your parents, if you are using your dads laptop to connect he should not be able to tell that uyou use his laptop to connect.

XBox Solution : What Are Some Tips On Keeping Your Xbox 360 Cool And Not Overheating?

If you don't have a table or some kind of entertainment area to set it on, Us some books to elevate it off the ground, you want to keep those funny little holes you see on both sides, open and not blocked so it can breath. What I do is take about 4 game cases and place them under my 360 in the middle. It keeps my system off the glass and allows air to flow underneath. Find your self a cooler attachment that you can put on the back of the system, it draws some of that Hot air out. You can find these coolers at Gamestop or any Box retailer. NEVER set it on the carpet or put it in an enclosure that's really confined, The 360 needs at least 6 inches around it to breath and keep from overheating. NOW I have done all these things in the past and my system still Red Ringed 2 times a year every year since launch. BUT these newer systems have a cooler running chip in them so if you follow my advice , you should have little to no problems with overheating.
