Right, forgot to mention the complementary extra-late check-out even past the normal membership benefits because our flight is only at 8pm on Sunday and the complementary internet for 2 laptops in the room! I'm sure there're benefits I don't even know about...

Tell me about it! It generally takes almost an hour to travel the 1.6 kilometres in the evening. Absolutely ridiculous. According to Google Maps it takes only 20 minutes to walk, but I haven't tried that yet. Foursquare is a social networking tool where you can "check-in" to locations based on your GPS coordinates and let your friends and connections see where you currently are. It's connected to a game-like set-up, where you can earn badges and mayorships for checking in more than others. Not sure if and how that're going to survive, now that Facebook has launched "places", which does exactly the same.

I agree! Let's see how many of the "quitters" are actually actively participating in the mass testing on SiSi, to actually contribute to for example their biggest complaint: lag. There's a great article on Life in Low Sec (http://lifeinlowsec.blogspot.com/2010/08/hunting-elusive-lag-monster.html) about this as well. It's probably not easy for CCP to find the lag bug, without generous participation of a large % of the players of EVE Online. I personally don't have that many complaints about EVE and generally enjoy playing. For me it's also a game, but not just a game, it's a pretty awesome game and I haven't found anything comparable out there in the world of MMO's.
