Just saw bits. I thought about 70 percent of homicides in Detroit went without arresting a suspect, so couldn't see how they were going to portray a realistic police drama that reflected that statistic and call it an accurate portrayal of Detroit. The bits I saw seemed too white also, don't live in Detroit, but Michigan and am fairly aware that suburbanites have pretty much stayed away, especially at night since Mayor Young warned them to get out of town.

Like my son said about the movie Pearl Harbor ; the story was basically like Titanic only set in Pearl Harbor. Seems like everyone is trying to guess what previous cop show this one is like, rather than the authenticity of Detroit.

It would have been more interesting to have developed a show around the corrupt city council a year ago. Monica Conyers was real life entertainment.
