@ Lhemar Contentment easier said than done. Though, I must agree, it is the beginning of a happier life. Indeed! If there is someone that you can be honest about yourself completely is YOU! Otherwise you will always be living a lie. Thanks Lhemar, este Les. How's your vacation, btw? @Kcee Yeah, I know. But being sober for almost 5 years is not easy. I am moving on! Cheers! Kampai! Hik hik :D How are you? Been ages :0

my sense and sensibility, including my non-senses : The Pursuit of Happiness : Is it an Exercise in Futility?

I do not claim to be religious, but I agree with you there Jennie that we must also recognize that ultimately, man's happiness hinges on GOD, everything else is secondary. Thank you. I hope to see you here more often. Exchange link? Why not. Allow me to place your link in mine now. Cheers!

Happiness can come in different guise, magnitude, and in different circumstances. I think, what is also important to consider is how we savor those moments. Thanks for the insight nikki ^^

my sense and sensibility, including my non-senses : How to start blogging for a living

It's a must, IMO. In the last two years, I have seen pro-bloggers come and go. Presumably, the primary culprit is the slow return of monetary rewards on efforts and time invested.

"creating our self" -that's an excellent thought Redge. Which also reminds me that no matter what life brings us, we are always in control on who we choose to become.

my sense and sensibility, including my non-senses : A Confident Talk on Self-Confidence

You are absolutely right about factoring 'upbringing' or 'breeding' in so far as development of a healthy self-confidence. But it is also equally important that a person realize where he is at, how he can improve, and has the willingness to change.

Great point there! Indeed! Great freedom comes when you do not have anything to lose. However, I wish that life would that be easier. For as long as we live, we will make a living, and we will accumulate things along the way. Probably, the key is loosening our attachment on these things and living a contented life.

Thank you for taking the time Lucy, ^ ^ You made an excellent point there, and I couldn't agree more. It is true that when one has a zest for life or living, self-confidence and healthy self-esteem are bred naturally. By contrast, when we do not have that zest and drive to enjoy life, we live in constant fear. Fear that makes us wallow in our miseries, prevents us from trying new things, hinders our personal growth, and renders us hopeless in adversities.

Thank you ^ ^ Well, probably that's true. Because most of the great chef's I know are men. Nonetheless, I am still learning and I think on my next career shift, I might consider culinary arts. ^ ^ Instant noodles? Then, that's the two of us then. Lol

I guess, I am bit luckier than Graham (Jude Law) huh. Because what I have is a 3 year-old vibrant boy, while he has 2 little daughters. Well, though are real angels, on my part, I think that would be over my head. With that kind of situation, I would probably place an AD for a an excellent 'mommy' who can put-up with me and take care of those kids. Lol. Right now, one little boy is enough. Thanks kit . ^ ^
