By abrogating responsibility for building a sustainable economic model for health care coverage for the average American to those who had no interest in a sustainable economic model for the average American, we invited government in. We did it in the same way we did by not caring enough about our environment, employment rights, and civil rights to do the right thing ourselves. We invited them in every time by being so short sighted, and then we have the temerity to complain about it. Government may not be doing it the right way, or the best way, but at least government is doing something, which is more than we ever did.
