Revoke their tires and watch em try to figure out why the car won't move the next time they're hammered.

It really isn't, but then there is no fair way to compare two grossly different companies.

WCW had a hell of a lot more time in than TNA has, so their "changing the game" made sense then. They had a loyal following, even at its worst time, and when they decided to compete with the WWE they had the finances to do it. TNA is still a young company competing against generations of wrestling. I won't argue that it has its fault but you can't really expect them to go against the WWE now or possibly ever. Vince has had so much time to hone the company that the WWE literally is the name of wrestling. TNA still needs time to keep on the road and keep gaining followers.

When TNA had the X Division in full swing, people complained. "The WWE doesn't have guys jumping all over the place!" When they had the six sided ring, "That's ridiculous! You'll never see something like that in the WWE!" When they had a full KO's division, "Whatever, we know the women are just bathroom breaks in WWE, might as well be in TNA too!" When TNA was at it most unique there was complaint after complain on how amateur their product was BECAUSE of their differences. Now that they have similarities people still complain about them. You can't have it both ways. Either you want them to be unique and stand out, or you want them to mirror how the WWE does things. Take a side.

They are doing what every business would do after ten years, they are looking at what isn't necessary. Add in that they are on the road now it makes sense that they'd rethink their financial strategy to compensate for the additional expenses. However I'm sure Panda knows what most people know, you can't make money without spending any. If they were pulling the plug on financing they wouldn't have invested in road shows, they'd have stayed in Orlando and let that make or break the company. They've been on the road for a year now, with their competition being the name of wrestling it will take time for them to build up enough of a following that they start turning profits. Hogan, Bischoff, Sting, Angle, Hardy, they draw good contracts but not having them wouldn't help the company. They'd still be spending the same money, just on different things. Until their fanbase grows, it won't make a difference who's on contract and who isn't.

And that's the real issue. WWE has has decades to convince everyone that they are the end all be all of wrestling. Even wrestling fans, not TNA/WWE fans but wrestling fans, see the difference. When I first started watching TNA I thought it was ok, but it was like the child vs the step child of wrestling. They were so not the WWE, but the more I thought about it the more I saw the flaw. They aren't and most likely will never be the WWE, but that doesn't make them any less worthy to follow. However, most casual fans either can't follow it because its just not the WWE, or they know the WWE's name and follow it because in the simplest of terms, we've been trained to follow the WWE as the name of wrestling.

Also the WWE couldn't just bring them in and put them in the spotlight, they were WWE made. They'd have to be repackaged, retrained to do things the 'E way. Even if they weren't Vince isn't going to bring in guys from another company, even if/especially if the company failed, and let them go toe to toe with the 'E guys. He'd either repackage them, or have them pushed down a bit so it looks like they rose to stardom due to the WWE's influence.

Hylton sorry, but both Bischoff and Hogan were major contributors to the demise of WCW. Bischoff for sinking everything on the show into the NWO idea, but had no follow through once it was on top, and Hogan (And a cast of several like Hall and Nash who had stipulations in their contracts saying no one could be paid more than them or they were required to get raises) making company decisions instead of the company. WCW could've been a gold mine to rival the WWE for decades, but it imploded on itself mainly due to Bischoff's handiwork. You can blame Russo all you want, but sad fact is that WCW was already hemorrhaging by the time Russo got there.

They do need to keep the focus on wrestling but they also need to draw in more fans. What better way to do that than to increase their fanbase through social media outlets?
