http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/ : It will be a wet rather than white Christmas - Northern Ireland, Local & National - Belfasttelegraph

Why do the BT so often get the weather forecast incorrect? Is this an indication of the reliability of their other reports? The last paragraph is especially pertinent since last week there were extreme hoar frosts so where have you been BT? Incidentally, Christmas day looks like hill sleet and snow since there is a cool NW wind with an occluded front also approaching from that direction. Admittedly after that it looks wet, windy and mild but BT reporting leaves much to be desired!

It's beyond time for BT journalists and John O'Dowd to fully research the data as I've just checked the DENI website and in 2010/2011 there were 154,452 primary 1 to 7 pupils in grant aided schools. This is an average of greater than 22,000 pupils per year so over 18000 pupils were excluded from the test. Thus, this makes a nonsense of the remainder of this article and presumably only the more elite were entered for the tests?????

It's great to see the primary schools are doing well but what data was used? If there were only 3586 pupils and 136 schools involved then surely many of the pupils in NI were excluded! How many P6 pupils are there in total and is this a case of examining only the more capable? Can anyone throw light on the total data?
