It's Santorum's fault that ignorant social liberals bought homes unsupported by their means. It's Santorum's fault that social liberals who were not credit worthy were given mortgages but were intellectually deficient in understanding their obligations as the mortgagor. It's Santorum's fault that a socially liberal controlled Congress does not believe in full disclosure regarding financial documentation whether for investing/trading or home ownership.
I'll take one Arlen Specter for two lifetime conservative appointments to the US Supreme Court any day of the week. A 51-49 majority is not anything to boast about when there are RINOS in the midst.

Secondly, it's incredibly myopic to state that Santorum or Romney do not understand the economy as they both have an MBA and a JD. Santorum is the only candidate in this election cycle able to directly confront the Gay Left/Right, Catholic or not.

Reagan and Goldwater never had it this easy. The upcoming general does not change the fact that Goldwater and Reagan had a cakewalk compared to what Santorum will eventually face with an escalation in passive-aggressive and borderline confrontational behavior from the liberal wings of the Democrat and Republican Party.
