What is it with people that hey feel any need to pry into the private lives of well known people? Tiger has been looked up to as a sports figure/golfer, not as a model husband. His private life should be just that - private. If your own life is so sad that you need to try to make it better by judging the personal lives of others, you need psychiatric help. Women are quick to condemn in this case because they feel that sympathy thing to Tigers wife. A lot of men agree because that's the best way to keep peace with their own wives - or even to blast adulterers to mask their own extra-marital flings.

Why is it that every time someone over 60 (or so) is involved in a traffic matter, it becomes an attack on old people? So, with that stupid logic, every time a 30-year-old does something wrong, we should immediately ban all 30 year olds from driving. Also, does Washington have the child helmet laws that we have in Oregon? If so, why don't everyone ask why those kids weren't issued citations for not wearing helmets? Come on folks, this was an accident. Issuing a citation will not change anything that happened. Obviously there was a clear reason for the officer not citing the driver.

Please note that new camping fee of $24 is the top rate which includes full hookups for your RV - water/sewer/electric. If that makes you a little crazy, try a KOA Campground where the top fee is$67! And for that, you get a lovely slab of concrete and, if you are lucky, you might even get a little 5 foot tall tree! You can KOA $34 for a tent site with no amenities!

Amen, OscarP. Everyone wants to jump in and start shouting about how terrible a person is because of some issue that doesn't even the job they do. More may come out on this story but if the whole story is that he was cheating on his wife, then I think he should have remained at his job. The real culprit in this would then be the employee who found out about the affair and felt a need to pry into Isham's personal life. I would easily believe that all of those who put him down for the affair are just making noise to cover up their own indiscretions. What the eff? Did the employee go to Isham and say, "Na-na-na. I know what you are doing and I'm telling?" Maybe they wanted some special favors from Isham to keep quiet.

The real rules. Here is link to a gov't document. It doesn't mention it but "companion" animals are considered pets and do not qualify as service animals. http://www.ada.gov/svcabrpt.pdf

You are just sitting back waiting for trouble to strike. The federal law says that if anyone claims their animal is a service animal that you have no legal right to ask any questions. You cannot require "proof" of any kind including a statement of what the person's medical condition is.

Many of your fellow shoppers may have allergies. Should they be subjected to pet allergies just to be able to buy their groceries? By the way, how clean and sanitary is it to have your animal in a cart where others will be placing their food?

Actually, the business owner cannot ask much at all. If they question anyone regarding their animal, the owner of the animal can simply say, "This is a service animal and my right to have it here is protected by the ADA." End of conversation. There is no paper of proof to be shown, no explanation of what purpose the animal serves because that would force someone to reveal their medical information. Sadly, the ADA has blocked every attempt to force owners of service animals to have a card to carry to verify the pet is truly a service animal. Too many people know this and are very quick to say that their animal is a service animal so they can take the critter everywhere they go. Want a doctor to say your pet is actually a service animal? Just tell your doctor that you need the animal to help you remain calm. Doctor disagrees? Just mention a malpractice suit. Your pet will become a service animal.

KATU - Portland, OR : Police: Cyclist dragged 150 feet after altercation | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | News

Well stated. I think the largest issue is that most - not all - cyclists fail to follow the law. I live in Salem and cyclists ride the wrong way, ride on sidewalks when bike lanes are available, ignore stop signs and red lights and zig-zag across the streets. Under 16 riders rarely are wearing helmets as required by Oregon law. Cyclists are subject to the same rules of the road as motorists but police seem never to enforce the laws against cyclists giving them - the cyclists - the belief they can do whatever they choose and face no consequences. Time to break out the ticket books for cyclists!

KATU - Portland, OR : Growing hemp legally in Oregon won\'t be an easy task | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | Business

Hemp was a huge crop in the past and the Federal Gov't encouraged farmers to grow it. There is no synthetic substitute for some hemp products. There is so little THC in industrial hemp that you would likely have to smoke a few pounds to even begin to notice a buzz - more likely, you couldn't smoke enough to get a buzz at all. The paranoia people have over hemp is astounding in this day and age. Just for grins and giggles though, rent a copy of the 1937 movie "Reefer Madness." It clearly shows the lies and myths about all hemp, including marijuana.

Hello Tammy. Why did you leave your kids home alone? How old are they? When we get morons like these guys that want to outsmart the police and try to run away, it's a good cause for gunfire from the officers - directly between the eyes of the criminals. Yes folks, they are criminals based on the fact that they attempted to elude police - that's a crime. Oh - since they caught one loser they will get the other one. His pal will sell him out. There really is no honor among thieves/criminals.

KATU - Portland, OR : Novelty lighters will soon be banned in Oregon | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | Local

Instead of banning lighters, how about banning stupid, irresponsible adults? Maybe we should have a ban on paper clips so kids don't stick them into outlets, steak knives so kids don't stab other kids - the list is endless. We really need people to take responsibility for their own actions. Lighters will be purchased elsewhere and brought to Oregon by parents who are so proud of their "illegal" item that it will get even more attention from children.
