Looks like we'll have to wait for updates of Cydia's apps

Turning the phone off, and then on works. Meaning turn off completely, and then turn it on. (Not hard reset)

unlocking means downloading a cydia app that makes the phone work with another service provider. cydia -> unlock, that being said you cannot unlock without jailbreaking. So it is safe to jailbreak now, the unlock will come soon.

usually its the last app you installed before the springboard crash that's causing the problem. Try remembering which app you downloaded before it crashed and remove it (you can do it even if your in safe mode by going to cydia). If else, restore and rejailbreak.

Hi guys, I upgraded to iOS 4.0.1 few hours ago from the 4.0 on my iPhone 4. Many apps in cydia did not support 4.0.1 so i am trying to downgrade. I have saved my SHSH blobs with tiny umbrella before but they seem to be 4.0.1 blobs despite my firmware being 4.0 when i saved them. (I'm very sure because i dragged a copy to my documents a few weeks ago) That being said, i cannot downgrade using the TSS server because iTunes gives me a 3002 error when i'm trying to restore to 4.0 in DFU mode. Any advice? Big shout out to the dev team, oh well i already did on facebook. :) cheers

IPhones from Singapore are factory unlocked, so it doesn't matter what baseband you are at. It will do fine with any sim card, my IPhone was from Malaysia its the same.

It is also important for me to be able to jailbreak and unlock as cydia apps are really important to me. I am going to change the imei number to a sony ericsson phone's so AT&T won't charge me a friggin 30$ dollars for 3G i don't use. Thank you so much

Hi guys, sorry if this is not a contributing question, but i have no where else better to ask. I have a factory unlocked iphone 3G that's still on firmware 3.0 which is stable. After coming to America, the headphone jack got dirty and there is a small tiny crack near silent mode trigger and now the earphones only play one side of sound when plugged in even after i've cleaned it. Apple is offering to replace my 3G with a US IPhone, which is NOT factory unlocked and will most probably be on 3.1.3. My warranty expires in exactly ten days, should i go for the new replacement one? Thank you.

wow thanks But lets say just in case i send it in to apple with the cydia icons visible and all won't they take that into consideration? If i restore it to factory settings they cannot detect that its been jailbroken before? That guy was just a helpful salesman i dont think he gains anything.

Hi guys I have a 3G, Factory Unlocked and at firmware 3.0 jailbroken. When i bought it about three months ago it was at 2.2.1 and i jailbroke that one too. So the guy over at Maxis (our service provider) saw my cydia icon and said jailbreaking voids warranty. He helped me to check and yes he said apple has detected it and cancelled my warranty. I typed in my serial number just now at apple's site and well it says there i still have my warranty, weird thing is when i first had 2.2.1 i never knew how to cancel when "contacting server..." comes out so uh why do i still have my warranty? sorry for the long read
