95% of the criticism of Israel is based on lies and the denial of the rights of the indigenous people of Israel, the Jews, the have the same right of self-determination as other peoples... When speakers bring out the old chestnut complaining that they are anti-Israel, not anti-Jewish and then the call Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem occupied territory they show themselves to be racist Jew haters and nothing else

The Jew haters use anything as a tool to show hatred for Jews...The Jews are the indigenous people of Israel and yet we have a world where for over 4000 years indigenous people, the Jews, have lived in Judea and Samaria but yet the Jews are called occupiers... People hate Jews because the Jews live and because Jews always represent that is is G_d that gave humans our rights, not governments

The presentation was “very unconvincing,” Sen. Mark Kirk concurred, according to the report. Furthermore, “It was fairly anti-Israel. I was supposed to disbelieve everything the Israelis had just told me, and I think the Israelis probably have a pretty good intelligence service.” “Every time anybody would say anything about what would the Israelis say, they’d get cut off and Kerry would say, ‘You have to ignore what they’re telling you. Stop listening to the Israelis on this,’”Sen. Bob Corker said, as reported in Buzzfeed.

Commentary Magazine : Obama’s Lies Will Continue to Haunt Him

Haunt him, how?? He will never again run for election as president. When he leaves office he immediately has more money than he can ever spend. He has brainless acolytes in the millions. The corrupt press has substantively more venom and hatred for conservatives than it has disappointment in Obama. Really what we have is a celebrity, Kim Kardashian president, and he will always have that. From a public policy perspective the federal government keeps getting bigger and the constitutional rights of the citizens keep getting smaller, and really, that is all Obama wanted because we know he truly has no respect for the American people as citizens. I think the best we can hope for is that when he leaves office, the sudden loss people automatically agreeing with him on everything will be a surprise to him because he may, even at this late date, think that his sycophants actually like and respect him and he will find out that they are like him, only in it for money, power and ego, and they really do not like him. Or maybe he will run for leader of the UN and probably win that too. I hope he lives to be about 120, because my guess it will take that long for him to develop a conscious and actually feel remorse for squandering an opportunity to be a good leader.

Commentary Magazine : Will Israel Strike Iran? Iraq is No Precedent

It is hard to understand the self-defeating logic of Tobin's writing. He states that an Israeli PM cannot ignore an existential threat, then at the same time says that somehow if the US is talking to the existential threat that is a impenetrable barrier to stopping the existential threat. The other issue is that clearly Tobin is thinking conventionally about the options for destroying and/or substantively delaying Iranian nuke capabilities. Really, that is a mistake. Considering the current disposition of the US administration vis-a-vis a Jewish Israel (they support the rhetoric but not the policy), and considering that Iran has made it clear that they are willing to try to withstand any negative affects coming from a WMD attack on the Jews (and they should because we all know that the US and EU will look for any thread to stop a conflict AFTER the Jews are murdered), literally it is beyond any rational thinking to believe that the current PM of Israel will be held up from stopping another Shoah because a lame duck US administration is speaking to the enemy regime. Even Israeli President Peres (architect of Oslo) just stated yesterday that anyone who thinks they understand the IDF's capabilities is likely mistaken. He said this in public and for a reason.

Commentary Magazine : The Right's Epistemic Closure

The lack of understanding about what is happening by folks like Wehner is truly astounding. So what we just saw was confirmation that the big government statists in the Republican party are allies of the big government statists in the Democrat party, and yet Wehner says it is bad thing if the R version of big government statists have lower prospects of winning? First, he is wrong on that anyway (if he knew anything about public policy polling he would not have stated the R's did anything to reduce the chance of winning) and second, why would it be a good thing to perpetuate a system that gives us Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, Barack Obama, John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi? How in the name of goodness could that be a positive result?? Wehner and the rest of you that really miss the boat on how the DC culture of corruption is all about power and money being taken from individual Americans and given more and more to a DC based plutocracy. The silliness of Wehner's position is obvious to anyone not steeped in the idea that the federal government is a panacea for all problems.... Wehner is selling the snake oil of 'if we only had better bipartisan discussions" we would have better public policy, when in fact what we have is the statists at war with the American idea of liberty and civil rights and economic freedom, and Wehner sitting at Peal Harbor in Dec 1941 and asking 'where are those explosions coming from...must be bad weather coming in."

Turkey is not a defacto islamist state with a leader that supports Hamas and other islamist jihadis. Any decent president would demand that NATO throw Turkey out unless Turkey changed its government. Turkey is the same government that committed genocide against the Armenians...nothing there has changed

I read the NY Post article and this. Clearly Romney vetoed the bill to provide the funds to maintain the kosher kitchen. Goodman is just plain distorting the facts to cover for her boy Romney.
Commentary Magazine : A Chance to Defend Democratic Capitalism

I continue to be amazed at the foolishness of putative conservatives on the Bain issue. The issue is Romney not being accountable for specific actions pertaining to specific companies. Those companies were deliberately and/or incompetently over leveraged which rendered those companies unable to compete. The issue has ZERO to do with capitalism and every thing to do with being man enough and honest enough to be accountable. This whole Bain thing has clearly showed two things: 1. Romney is not willing to be held accountable for this actions, very similar to Obama, and 2. There are a significant number of people, many of the folks noted by the author above, who are totally and completely detached from relating to the average American votes and that are incapable of discerning between general issues and specific issues. Very sad. As it stands, if Romney is the one to get the nomination, he will get clobbered by Obama and lose by at least 4%
