In the past becoming a state gave PR less overall. I guess that has changed. I wonder if Barry and the Democrats will push this in his second term.

They elect too many democrats that's the biggest reason. So they have a lousy business climate. Also most PR citizens don't speak English, and PR is not close to the rest of the US, so COL is high like Hawaii and Alaska.

Any one want to invest in my new company, "Windmill Demolition Inc"? I think there will be plenty of business coming up soon. It will be green as all the metal will be recycled into SUV's.

Big Government : Wisconsin Teacher Who Snubbed Congressman Has a History of Recruiting Students into Left-Wing Polit

I worked a maintenance job for the summer breaks at the college I went to. When working in various places on campus we would have radios to listen to when working (the school didn't hold classes in the summer). Nothing got professors in a snit faster then a radio with Rush on it. They never complained about music or anything else. But Rush, that was a different story. Thankfully our supervisor told them to take a hike, and she thought it was funny that's the only thing they complained about. She actually encouraged us to listen to Rush when she knew they would be in earshot. The sad thing is, that school is far from being a left wing school (probably the only reason the supervisor was able to blow off those profs). I imagine had we been on a different campus, our radios would have been silenced.

It seems that two professions that have major problems today have the same problem. Teaching is one and News Reporting is the the other. They seem like simple enough jobs, report events and teach children. The problem is that both are filled with people today who think they will change the world by being one of these professionals. Only problem with that idea. You can't do that and do what you are paid to be doing. Namely teaching and reporting. Both require (or used to) that you report facts or teach facts. But these people want to be activists and bring in their opinions (usually wrong, or far from the mainstream) and present them as facts. Want to "change the world"? Don't be a teacher or a reporter, because you aren't doing your job if you are.

The Heritage Foundry : The First Step Toward Creating the Administrative State

Government agencies should never be able to make and then enforce rules. Never, its basically unconstitutional. Why have a congress passing bills and a president signing them, if government bureaucracy are coming up with its own laws on its own. And that is what they are doing. ICC was a bad idea that got us started on this road. Its going to be very hard to reverse that.

Big Peace : SOTU: President Obama's $20 Billion Spending Plan Will Come From Defense Cuts

About the only place that SHOULDN'T be cut, and that's where liberal's make the only cuts. The military,,,,,,,,, Cutting the defense budget now ensures we will have to spend a even bigger fortune later. Big mistake. This country is broke, but cutting the military compounds the problems we will have later. We need to cut unconstitutional spending and restore the military

Big Journalism : NBC Hosts Worst Debate Of The Primary

Why are Republicans even allowing these networks to have debates? They should offer an exclusive to FOX News for all of them. The biggest problems with most of the debates have been the lame moderators. Lame questions never lead to good answers. We need moderators who can ask real questions so we get the answers we are looking for and not getting. Frankly, the lamestream media wants to make the Republican's debates look like a weird circus act. Why are they letting them do it?

Big Hollywood : Will Rosie's OWN Show Survive 2012?

Its amazing, in spite of almost every cable provider giving it a prime spot on the dial it still failing,,,, badly. Same thing with Al Gore's dismal CurrentTV. Funny how they did the opposite with Fox News when it came on the scene. Bury it on a bad high out of the way channel number, put it in a expensive package, or simply not offer it. My current provider still hasn't grouped it with the other "news" channels. It still come to content.......... Until there are far fewer liberal channels, new ones likely aren't going to succeed. Either that or they figure out a way to force us to watch. Conservative viewers are such a untapped market,

Big Hollywood : All-American Muslim Says Advertisers Are Right to Boycott 'All-American Muslim'

Criticizing Islam isn't racist, anti-religious or small minded. In fact Islam deserves plenty of criticism. It has serious problems that aren't being addressed in any meaningful way. Its being codded in order to be PC and "tolerant". I don't think anything should be above meaningful criticism. Unfortunately most modern "criticism" is pure nonsense so its easy to try to shut it down. That is a mistake. There are big problems with codding Islam. Islam isn't tolerant of anything besides Islam. Therefore "tolerating" it like everything else just isn't going to work. The reality may be that full scale fundamental Islam isn't compatible with modern society. We also need to ditch the all societies are equal. They aren't. The society I am part of is far better then any Muslim society. If that makes me a racist, well that's your opinion, and its a dangerous one.
